Kichha is a small agricultural town in UdhamSingh Nagar Uttarakhand, India. Rice wheat and sugar cane are major crop grown in Kichha. Kichha is well known for rice production and has around 30 - 40 rice mills.
Rudrapur ( 10 kms ) Rudrapur is the headquarter of the Udham Singh Nagar district.
Sitarganj ( 20 kms ) from Kichha it lies on the Kichha - Sitarganj route. It is an industrial town being developed by State Industrial Development Corporation of Uttarakhand(SIDCUL)
Nainital ( 110 kms ) from Kichha also known as the lake district of Uttarakhand. It attracts around thousands of both domestic and foreign tourists every year.
Nanak Matta ( 30 kms ) from Kichha it lies on the Kichha - Sitarganj route. It is believed that Guru Nanak, the first Sikh Guru visited here. Thousands of pilgrims come here and pray for their well being and prosperity.
The place is also well known for the Nanak Matta dam. It is a beautiful and popular picnic spot. It has a beautiful lake and boating and fishing facilites are available here for the tourists.
Kichha Uttarakhand is a part of Kumaon tourism, and the local languages spoken are Kumaoni, Gadhwali and Hindi. The best time to visit Kichha would be from October - February.
