    Har Ki Dun Trek

    Har-ki-Dun is surrounded by high snow covered mountain peaks of Swargarohini, Bandar poonch and Ruinsara. It is also covered with dense forests rich in flora and fauna. Har-ki-Dun is a paradise for bird-watchers, nature lovers and travellers alike.

    Legends believed that the Pandavas went to heaven through the Swargarohini mountain using this path via Har Ki Dun. The state flower of Bramhakamal can also be found here during the trek. A temple dedicated to Duryodhana of Mahabharata epic can be found here.

    Har Ki Dun Trek is a family and a group trekking tour. Har Ki Dun Trek is low altitude trek reaching an elevation of 3600m above sea level. Sankri is the base camp for the trek.
    The Har-ki-dun trek is a moderate grade trek and a total distance of 64 km is covered during the trek.

    Har Ki Dun Trek Tour Itinerary - 8 Nights - 9 Days



    Day 01: Delhi - Dehradun ( 220 kms )

    Pick up from Delhi and travel toward Dehradun. Later check in hotel in Dehradun.
    Dinner and Overnight at hotel

    Day 02: Dehradun to Giangad / Sankri (210km) - 8 hrs drive

    Drive to Giangad via Mussoorie. We start early from Dehradun to reach Giangad / Sankri village. We enter the Govind national park to reach our destination.
    Overnight in tourist rest house/tent.

    Day 03: Giangad / Sankri to Taluka / Daatmir (2100m approx ) 14 - 15km ( Taxi )

    Post breakfast we start from Sankri for Taluka. Drive from Sankri to Taluka in a Taxi. The track goes through a dense forest. We also trek with the mighty river Rupin flowing alongside. It is a good walk among breathtaking views of misty mountains and dense forests. Taluka is a small village on the banks of the river Rupin.

    Taluka / Daatmir to Seema / Osla (2560 m / 8400 ft) ( 12 - 13 kms / 6 - 7 hrs)

    From here we start trekking towards Seema. We have the Rupin river to our left and pass through mesmerising view of the valleys. We reach the village of Seema.
    Overnight in tourist rest house/tent.

    Day 04: Seema / Osla to Har-ki-Dun (3566 m / 11700 ft) (12 kms / 6 - 7 hrs)

    Post breakfast we start towards Har-ki-Dun. The trail offers some beautiful views of the Ruinsara valley and the majestic peaks of the Bandar poonch and Swargarohini range of mountains. The last lap of the trek is a steep climb of approx 150m - 200m which brings us closer to the meadows of Har-ki-Dun surrounded by huge mountain peaks of Har Ki Dun and Swargarohini.
    Overnight in tents.

    Day 05: Har Ki Dun - Explore and Rest.

    Today the entire day is reserved for exploring the beauty of Har-ki-Dun. We can visit the Morinda lake, mountains such as Kala nag, Bandar poonch, Ruinsara peaks and the majestic Swargarohini peaks, Jamdar glacier and Hata peak. The beautiful meadow is surrounded by huge, mystic mountains, picturesque valley on three sides. Lunch and rest.
    Overnight in tents.

    Day 06: Har-ki-Dun - back to Osla - 12 kms

    We start the day with breakfast and spend some more quality time to final explore and then trek back to Osla village.
    Overnight in tourist rest house/tent.

    Day 07: Day 6: Seema - Taluka (12 kms trek), Taluka - Sankri / Giangad (15 kms by road ).

    Today we have an early breakfast. We reach Taluka and then board our vehicle from Taluka for Sankri. We reach Taluka village. We spent the evening at leisure in and around the beautiful village.
    Overnight in tourist rest house/tent.

    Day 08: Giangad / Sankri to Dehradun - 210 km

    We leave Giangad / Sankri and reach Dehradun by late afternoon..
    Overnight stay in hotel.

    Day 09: - Dehradun - Delhi

    Drive towards Delhi and On Arr. Delhi, transfer to Railway Station / Airport.
