Kauri Pass Trek
The Kuari Pass Trek is one of the most beautiful medium altitude trek in the world. It is also called the Curzon Trail after a former Viceroy of India.
The Kuari Pass Trek is a group trekking tour. The Trek is medium altitude trek reaching an elevation of 3200m above sea level. Auli is the base camp for the trek.
The Kuari Pass Trek is a moderate grade trek and a total distance of approx 70 km is covered during the trek.
Kauri Pass Trek Itinerary - 5 Nights - 6 Days
Day 01: Rishikesh -Joshimath (265 kms/8-9 hrs)
Today we drive to Joshimath via Devprayag and Rudraprayag. Arrival at Joshimath by evening, check into the hotel. Visit the winter home of Lord Badrinath.
Dinner & overnight stay.
Day 02: Joshimath /Auli - Chitrakantha (3310 mts/10857 ft) 15 kms/6-7 hrs
Drive 15 kms to Auli. It is the start point of trek to Chitrakantha. Enroute we visit Garson Bugyal. The trek is a gradual ascent alongside the Rishi Ganga and surrounded by the magnificent snow peaks of Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, Hathi Godhi Parvat Mountain Peaks.
Rest in camps. Dinner & overnight stay.
Day 03: Chitrakantha - Kuaripass - Dakhwani
Today we trek to Dakhwani via the Lord Curzon trail Kuaripass. It is a gradual ascent with on of the most beautiful views of Nanda Devi, Dronagiri, Hathi Godhi Parvat Mountain Peaks.
Rest in camps. Dinner & overnight stay.
Day 04: Dakhwani - Pana (2450 mts/8036 ft) 14 kms/5-6 hr
Today we trek towards Pana. The trek goes through Oak, Pine and Deodar forests and high altitude meadows and finally cross the bridge to reach Pana village.
Rest in camps. Dinner & overnight stay.
Day 05: Pana - Ramni (2550 mts/8364 ft) 17 kms/5-6 hrs
Today we trek from Pana towards Ramni. It is a gradual ascent and descents. It is a relatively good trek with an awesome surrounding in the background.
Rest in camps. Dinner & overnight stay.
Day 06: Ramni - Ghat (1330 mts/4363 ft) 15 kms trek/4 hrs - Srinagar
Today we trek from Ramni towards Ghat. We reach Ghat and board a vehicle for Srinagar.
Rest in hotel. Dinner & overnight stay.
Day 07: Srinagar - Rishikesh (100 kms/4 hrs)
Early morning, we drive to Rishikesh. Rishikesh sightseeing. Lakshman Jhula. Ram Jhula. tour end.
