      The Chandi Devi Temple is dedicated to Goddess Chandi Devi. It is situated atop Neel Mountains.

      The temple constructed in 1929 A.D by the king of Kashmir, Suchat Singh and is considered to be among one of the shaktipeeths of Uttarakhand.

      Chandi Devi means the Goddess of power. It is believed that chandi devi was born of Goddess Parvati in order to kill Chanda and Munda the general of deamon kings Shumbh and Nishumbha.

      The temple is frequented by a large number of devotees and tourists from all part of the country.

      The visitors and yatris can also enjoy a fantastic view of the entire Haridwar from the top of the Neel Mountains.

      Chandi Devi Temple in Haridwar Uttarakhand is a part of Garhwal tourism, and the local languages spoken are Hindi and Gadhwali.

      The best time to visit Chandi Devi would be from Feb - April and September - October. Cotton in summer and heavy woolens winter are advisable. The summer season extends from March to September. The winter season is from September to Febraury.
