    Day 01: Haridwar - Sitapur via Guptkashi ( 200 kms Drive 5 - 6 hrs )

    Pick up from Haridwar - Rishikesh - Dehradun. Travel to Sitapur. Visit Ardh Narishwar Temple. Reach Sitapur.

    Overnight stay at hotel

    • The name Gupt Kashi means Hidden Benares. According to legends after the battle of Mahabharata, the Pandavas repented the killings of their cousins the Kauravas and came here to ask forgivness from Lord Shiva. Lord Shiva hid here from the Pandavas for some time in order to elude them. Hence the place got the name Guptkashi. When after the Kedarnath temple closes for the winter, the image of Kedarnath passes through Gupt Kashi on its way to Ukhimath (across the valley), where it stays for the winter..

    Day 02: Sitapur - Kedarnath - Guptkashi / Sitapur ( 12 kms Drive - 17kms trek )

    Take Trek for the Kedarnath Temple. Visit the Kedarnath Temple.. Overnight stay in the Kedarnath Government Camps.

    • Kedarnath: The Kedarnath shrine, one of most important of the 12 jyotirlingas of Lord Shiva. Kedar is another name of Lord Shiva. According to legend, the Pandavas after having won over the Kaurava in the Mahabharata war, felt guilty of having killed their own brothers and sought the blessings of Lord Shiva for redemption. He eluded them repeatedly and while fleeing took refuge at Kedarnath in the form of a bull. On being followed he dived into the ground, leaving his hump on the surface. The remaining portions of Lord Shiva appeared at four other places and are worshipped there as his manifestations. The arms appeared at Tungnath, the face at Rudranath, the belly at Madhmaheshwar and his locks (hair) with head at Kalpeshwar. Kedarnath and the four above-mentioned shrines are treated as Panch Kedar...

    Day 03: Kedarnath - Guptkashi / Sitapur - ( 12 kms Drive - 17kms trek )

    Take Trek back to Sitapur / Guptkashi form Kedarnath. Take a bathe at the Taptkund. Overnight stay in the Sitapur.


    Badrinath

    Day 04: Guptkashi / Sitapur - Badrinath ( 210 km / 6 hrs )

    Drive to Badrinath via Chopta - Joshimath. Chopta is one of the best hill stations in Uttarakhand.

    In Joshimath visit Narsingh Temple, Garuda Temple. Visit Amar Kalp Tree ( Oldest tree in India and is said to be almost 2500 yrs old ).

    Drive towards Badrinath. Visit Yogdhyan Badri Temple. ( One of the Panch Badri Temples ).

    Reach Badrinath Check into a hotel. Later, take a holy dip in the Tapt Kund, followed by a visit to the Badrinath temple.

    • Tapt Kund : Natural thermal springs on the bank of the river Alaknanda, where it is customary to bathe before entering the Badrinath temple.
    • Narad Kund : A recess in the river, near Tapt Kund, forming a pool from where the Badrinath idol was recovered.
    • Brahama Kapal : A flat platform on the bank of river Alaknanda. Hindus perform propitiating rites for their deceased ancestors.
    • Sheshnetra : 1.5kms. away is a boulder having an impression of the legendary serpent, better known as the Sheshnag';s eye.
    • Charanpaduka : 3kms. away is a beautiful meadow where the footprint of Lord Vishnu is seen on a boulder.
    • Mata Murty Temple : Devoted to the mother of Sri Badrinathji. Other important temples include Sesh Netra Temple, Urvashi Temple and Charanpaduka.
    • Mana Village : It is the last Indian village before Tibet.
    • Vasundhara : As the name suggests, vasundhara is a magnificent water fall. This place is 5 kms. from Badrinath out of which 2 kms. is motorable upto Mana.
    • Bhim Pul : On the other side of Mana village, a massive rock forming a natural bridge, lies over the roaring Saraswati river. It presents a spectacular view of water thundering down through the narrow passage under the rock and is believed to have been placed there by Bhim, the second eldest among the five Pandava brothers.
    • Vyas Gufa (cave) : Near Mana Village, this is a rock-cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have composed the Mahabharata and the pauranic commentaries.

    Day 05: Badrinath - Rudraprayag / Srinagar ( 140 kms )

    Holy bath in the Taptkund. Badrinath Darshan / Pooja in the morning by 05:30 am.

    Drive to Rudraprayag / Srinagar via Joshimath, en route visiting VishnuPrayag, KarnaPrayag and NandaPrayag

    • VishnuPrayag ( confluences Dhauli Ganga and river Alaknanda).
    • KarnaPrayag ( confluence of river Pindari and river Alaknanda).
    • NandaPrayag ( confluence of river Nandakini and Alaknanda River).
    • RudraPrayag ( confluence of river Mandakini and Alaknanda River)

    Rishikesh

    Day 06: Rudraprayag - Rishikesh Sightseeing - Haridwar ( 140 Kms 7 hrs )

    Drive to Rishikesh via Srinagar and Devprayag.

    Rishikesh Local Sight Seeing (Ram Jhulla, Laxman Jhulla, Triveni Ghat, Parmarth Niketan, Shivananda and Gita Kutir).

    Drive to Haridwar. Visit Mansa Devi and Chandi Devi Temple. Haridwar local Sightseeing ( Bharat Mata Temple, Shanti Kunj, Maya Devi Mandir, Parad Shivling ). Visit Ganga Aarti at Har ki Pauri.

    • Devprayag( confluence of river Bhagirathi and Alaknanda River).
